Big Technologies is involved in two related but distinct strands of litigation. The first is the High Court proceedings commenced on 31 March 2025 against founder and former CEO Sara Murray. The second is the Buddi shareholder litigation, which was settled in January 2026 for £38.5 million.

The Murray proceedings

The High Court proceedings against Sara Murray were announced on 31 March 2025. The company's substantive allegations were set out in its 12 September 2025 litigation update. Sara Murray has denied the allegations. On 14 September 2026 the company announced that mediated discussions had ended and that it would continue litigation absent meaningful settlement discussions.

The Buddi litigation

The Buddi litigation was brought by former Buddi shareholders and was settled on 19 January 2026 for £38.5 million. It is examined in detail on the Buddi litigation page.
